SEVENTH ANNUAL
CHRISTIAN/CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT
Attention
all UPC member, family, friends . . .
you are
invited to join our UPC Summer Golf League members in a special nine (9)
hole CHARITY golf event. It is the Seventh Annual Christian/Charity Golf
Tournament to be held Saturday, September 27, 2008. A “team
scramble” tournament format will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. at Moon Golf
Club, located off Ewing Exit, Business Route 60, near Scally’s Golf and
Driving Range.
Following
the UPC (nine-hole) charity golf tournament; all players are invited to
attend an Awards Banquet at the North Park Club House-Robinson located in
Robinson Towne Center. The awards banquet is to being at 2:00 p.m.
Prizes will be awarded to all tournament event winners, 2008 summer league
winners and those lucky winners of numerous special fund raising lottery
drawings. Lottery drawings will feature special prizes donated by many
local retail establishments and other individuals interested in supporting
our UPC Charity event… to assist needy local families through the UPC Food
Pantry mission an its year-round support program.

Tournament on September 27th…. Please complete a Player
Registration Form when special announcement insert is included in a future
church bulletin.

Event –
Nine (9) hole four person “team scramble” *
Banquet –
Lunch buffet plus special recognition awards for tournament event winners;
and those top ranked player’s in the UPC summer golf league (i.e. Senior,
Men and Ladies category)
Fund
raising lottery drawing for special retailer prizes; 50/50 drawing etc.
Estimated
Cost - $30 - $40 (includes Green Fee riding cart, and awards banquet meal)
*Team
Scramble Format and Rules
Team
plays best “one of four” ball’s each shot …Note: Team does not have to use
a minimum number of drives per player
Team can
move position of ball one club length…No closer to the hole
Only one
score is maintained as a team score on official score card
In the
event of a team tie after nine (9) holes of play…winner will be determined
using lowest team score shown on the score card on successive holes
beginning with hole #1; then hole #2; and then hole #3, etc.
Individual/Team skill prizes to be awarded for Closest to the Pin, Longest
Drive in Fairway, Longest Putt…Player prize category includes Senior’s,
Ladies, and Men
