Session:

The Session of Union Presbyterian Church of Robinson Township held its regular meetings on Wednesday, January 30, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the church.     

                                   
Session approved the following:       

1. The Finance Ministry Team requests that the Treasurer’s Report for December 2007 be received and filed for audit.
    

2. The Clerk recommends approval of the wedding of Lisa Marie Drentkiewicz (member) and Toby Michael Partridge (non-member) at Union Presbyterian Church on July 5, 2008.  The Officiating Pastor will be Rev. Steve Maker, Chapel Presbyterian Church, Brighton Township, Pa.
    

3. The Clerk recommends approval of the following baptisms:

   Elizabeth (Ellie) Junker, daughter of Bobby and Erin Junker on  Sunday, February 10, 2008

   Brady Vignone, son Dan and Jamie Vignone on Sunday, February 17, 2008

   Luke Vignone, son of Dan and Jamie Vignone on Sunday, February 17, 2008

   Joslin Noel Heckathorne, daughter of Kelley (Hoover) and Mark Heckathorne on Sunday, February 24, 2008
    

4. The Clerk recommends the dismissal of the following based upon a request for transfer to Oakdale   United Presbyterian Church:

   a.   Roll No. 1555  Laura Placha

   b.   Roll No. 2060  Jaclyn Margaret Placha

   c.    Roll No. 1987  Jenna Placha

    

5. The Presbyterian Women’s Association requests approval of hosting a Word Day of Prayer Service at Union Presbyterian Church, On Friday, March 7, 2008, the actual date of this year’s “World Day of Prayer.”
    

6. The Youth and Family Ministry Team requests approval of the revised Youth February, March and April calendars.  Included in the March calendar is a Quarter Carnival and Easter Egg Hunt to be held the Saturday before Easter as a fundraiser for High Voltage and the Big Wow Camp.
    

7. The Youth and Family Ministry Team requests approval that Yvette Brown, Assistant Director of    Youth & Family Ministries, receive a pay increase from $1421 per month to $1600 per month        effective 2/1/08.  This raise remains in place until a full time Director of Youth & Family Ministry is             hired at which time the original salary will be reinstated.

Other Information:

Not including special gifts to the church, unaudited giving for the month of January 2008 was $34,670 (4 Sundays).   We anticipated receiving $40,675 per month.

Communion was served to 258 members on Sunday, January 6, 2008.

      Our current church active membership is 593.

      Church Officers for the year 2008 were ordained and installed on Sunday, January 13, 2008          (one deacon to be ordained in February).
